- While Using the App: We collect your location to show nearby waste collection points and provide accurate pickup services linked to your account.
- Background Location (if enabled): We may collect location data even when the app is closed or not in use to support scheduled pickups, optimize driver routes, and ensure timely collection.
- Contacts: If you allow access, we use your contacts only when you choose to share or refer EkoBin services. Your contact list is not stored or shared.
- Notifications: With your consent, we send service alerts, reminders, and important updates.
- Usage Information: Information about how you interact with the app (e.g., collection schedules, waste reports, frequency of use).
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and network details for troubleshooting and analytics.
How We Use Your Information

Data Retention & Account Deletion

You can request account deletion directly within the app as follows:
- Driver App: Profile > Settings > Account > Data Security > Delete Account > Delete My Account > Account Deleted
- EkoBin App: Profile > Data Security > Delete Account > Delete My Account > Account Deleted
All associated personal data will be deleted, except as required by law.
Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request corrections or updates to your information.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal requirements.
- Restrict or object to certain types of data processing.
- Receive a copy of your data (data portability).
